As a rising sophomore, Samantha already shows incredible poise and calmness to her game. She is very much a facilitator on the offensive end with an unselfish mindset. Coming off-ball screens, she has her head up and looks to find her roller, hitting them on target. Samantha is capable of scoring herself. She is solid off the catch and shoot opportunities she has. She can attack and take contact on her finishes while being a very capable and consistent free throw shooter. She makes a ton of hustle plays that help swing momentum for her team, especially getting on the floor for loose balls. Off her steals, she looks to find her teammates in transition and get the ball ahead for easy scoring opportunities. She will continue to develop and gain strength moving forward. I am known to be extremely coachable, take criticism well, and always look out for my teammates. I demand attention as a point guard running the floor, looking for open opportunities for my teammates and myself. My basketball IQ is very high and I watch my own film, college, and WNBA games to keep my arsenal full of weapons. I have good range on the floor and can hit shots from the elbow, far beyond the three-point line, and finish hard on a dribble and drive. I take pride in my defensive ability to slide quickly with my player and use fast hands to make steals. You can usually find me on the floor for a loose ball and I won’t give it up. I am working hard now and will continue through my high school career to be ready for play at the collegiate level. To play basketball in college and earn my degree is my ultimate goal looking forward.
